Steven Joseph Ward

Steve was born in Great Falls Montana, raised in Longmont Colorado, attended Regis Jesuit High School, and received his Bachelor of Science from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.  Steve has owned and operated several businesses over the last 30 years.

Steve’s mother Joyce Ward was a registered nurse and demonstrated to Steve the importance of knowing basic First Aid skills and CPR. Steve has been certified in both First Aid and CPR since he has been a business owner. 

As Joyce Ward’s health began to decline Steve was responsible for helping and assisting in her care. From 2017-2020 Steve would drive her to and from Dr. appointments, weekly change foot dressings, and attended her needs for two months while she was in Boston, MA for her back surgery. Once back in Colorado, Steve would begin assisting with her therapy. At her home, Steve would help Joyce with day-to-day essentials, dressing her in the morning, applying ointments, and taking her to pool therapy. Pool therapy included assisting her in and out of the car as well getting in and out of the pool. Steve was by her side until Joyce passed in 2020.  

Growing up in a family of seven and both parents working full-time jobs, Steve was more than a big brother. With Mike working most of his years out of state and Joyce working the night shift as a nurse, Steve took on a larger role and was a third parent for his siblings. Steve helped with many parental day-to-day duties, which included helping get his siblings ready in the morning for school, changing diapers, ensuring his family arrived to school on time with lunch, distribute any medications, and confirming his siblings were dropped off and picked up from school or babysitters. 

Steve established ForWARD Health as a Home Health Care company in an effort to continue his passion to help and give care to others and make a difference in their lives.
